2013 Schedule

#31— Jack Harrington —C — Barnstable H.S.

Harrington is the precise type of rough-and-tumble backstop that the defending 2012 Massachusetts American Legion State Champs were looking for when the squad graduated starting catcher Denny Beynor and moved co-captain Terrence Mudie over to third base... a hard-slugging, adept hitter, Harrington has truly shined this season for the Barnstable High squad in 2013... Harrington has long been a capable and even gifted student-athlete his entire sports-playing life, beginning in Little League, all the way up through the ranks... a superior hockey player in the winter and a varsity golf team member... Harrington will be looked upon in 2013 for leadership by example as he begins to mature as both a young man and an athlete....Harrington's family hails from Somerville where his uncle led the Somerville Legion Post as its commander for years... his grandfather fought in the Korean War and he is the first cousin of Post 206 righty ace George Bent....
