#3— George Bent—RHP —UMass-Dartmouth

George  made an immediate impact on Post 206 in the summer of 2012 and his 5-0 regular season and playoffs mark helped Barnstable win its first-ever State Championship in American Legion baseball. He has long been one of Barnstable's top student-athletes, always finding a way to get it done on the playing field or on the links... he boasts a 3.7 gpa in the classroom and is likely bound for Lesley College in Boston to play baseball next fall... a "thinking man's pitcher" who is a quick study of opponents' weaknesses and has superior command of his offspeed stuff as well as the heat...well-liked by his teammates and coaches and is always there with a great attitude... a true competitor who hails from a long line of top athletes, including his father, George Bent Sr.... Bent is a Legion legacy whose dad played for Bridgewater Post 203 back in the 1980s... his addition to an already talented Post 206 pitching staff just makes the team that much stronger... a consummate team player.
