# 23—Derek Estes —Shortstop— Barnstable H.S.

In two seasons since helping lead Post 206 to its second straight American Legion State Championship Title, Derek Estes has quickly become one of the most feared hitters in District 10 and perhaps the most-talented glove in the middle infield. A superlative basketball and football player, Derek heads this fall to the Community College of Rhode Island to play for the esteemed Ken Hopkins in one of the best JUCO baseball programs in the country. Derek helped lead Barnstable to Old Colony League Championship titles in both football and basketball but most importantly he led the Red Raiders to the Div. 1A MIAA Super Bowl in 2012 in a tough 21-20 defeat at the hands of the Everett Crimson Tide.
